Yes, a professional headshot is absolutely worth it.

A high-quality headshot gives you versatile images you can use on LinkedIn and across your social media, website, marketing materials, and PR.

It shows you are serious about your career and have made the effort to present yourself at your best.

The session itself only takes about an hour, but the return on this small investment can be significant, helping you land a new role, promotion, or opportunity.

Headshots are simple, professional images focused on your face and shoulders for use in formal settings like LinkedIn or company profiles.

Personal Branding Portraits are a broader collection of images that showcase your personality, story, and brand through varied settings, poses, and outfits for use across websites, social media, and marketing materials

My service area is a 15 km radius from Sydney’s CBD.

If you live further away but you are looking for a natural light photo shoot, I can organise a location within the 15km, if you don’t mind travelling to the location.

I can travel outside the radius but I charge additional travel costs

Before The Photo Shoot

Georgie does not have a studio but she offers the convenience of visiting your office, home, or preferred location.

Georgie will call you and discuss the following:

  • Location
  • Style of photos (natural light or studio look)
  • What to wear
  • Any questions you may have

Read a blog written by Georgie Greene for people looking to make the most out of their photo session.

Wear clothing that you enjoy wearing that makes you feel comfortable and confident – it will show in the lens

Avoid badly fitting clothes as your discomfort will show in the photos (try your clothes on before the photo shoot and make sure they fit)

Choose solid colours over busy patterns and loud logos as they distract from your face

Neutral colours are more professional or wear a colour that reflects your eye colour

Modest necklines rather than low cut

Keep accessories minimal

Generally you don’t need to hire a hair and make-up artist, your normal every day make-up will be fine for the photo shoot.

If you want to have professional make up done,  book a session at a MECCA store, they are located everywhere in Sydney.

At The Photo Shoot

Most people feel are uneasy or anxious in front of the camera lens.

Unfortunately, sometimes there is no way out of having your photo taken especially if you need a good headshot for work.

Take a look at some advice from Georgie, it should hopefully calm your nerves.

Hate having your photo taken? How A Pro Can Help.

When you smile your eyes smile too and it gives off an air of friendly warmth to your personality. A winning smile is always a stand out in a headshot as it makes you look approachable, and connectable. If you look too serious in your headshot it can create a negative response, which is not the purpose of having a headshot taken in the first place.
