About Georgie Greene

Georgie Greene Creates Authentic Photography With Intention

To reflect who you are and where you are going to achieve success

I’ve had a long and successful corporate career, and it’s time to give back. I want my headshots and portraits to make a difference in people’s lives. Helping them, secure a new role, connect with customers, gain more clients, sales and even find a lifelong partner.

My work brings me immense joy and satisfaction, knowing I am making a meaningful impact to others while doing what I love”

After 23 years of working in Australian Broadcast Media, I have answered my calling in life, transitioning to a career in photography. A passion that had been sown since my late father gave me a cheap Russian ‘point and press’ camera at age eight. Since 2020. I’ve immersed myself in all things photography. But it paid off and I graduated in the top 5% from The Photography Institute in 2022. But I also have a BA (Hons) in Art and History of Art from Cambridge (UK) that has helped me hone my photographic eye in composition and light.

I never had a professional headshot while I was working in the Corporate World. Where a selfie seemed “good enough,” and I also thought I wasn’t very photogenic. Looking back, I often wonder if a professional headshot might have helped me advance in my career. The answer is ‘yes’ but I never put any importance on having a professional looking image of myself. I now don’t want others to make the same mistake.

As a lifelong artist, I not only love creating oil paintings and digital art but I also see my camera as a paintbrush where I use the available light as a palette. Furthermore, I mix my creative eye and my interest in people to capture portraits and headshots that feel flattering but also natural and real.

As a freelance photographer based in Sydney, I’ve now found my ‘Ikigai’. A Japanese concept of purpose – where I can use my photographic skills to better the lives of others.

Photography inspires me to start each day with purpose, knowing I can make a difference

Wildlife photography is also a big passion. Getting out into nature and seeing it close up with my lens. Appreciating and capturing the World around us. When I first started in photography, the birds were my first models, where I learn’t light and composition.

The international photographers community – Headshots Matter recently interviewed me about how I got started as a professional photographer and my techniques for getting the best from my sitters at photo shoots. Take a look at my interview with StudioTalk – Headshots Matter
