What To Expect From Your Dating Photo Session

• Georgie will initially chat with you on the phone about the location, what to wear and how to prepare for your professional online dating photos.
• The goal is to give you a set of dating photos that don’t all look taken at the same moment in time. This is done by finding a variety of settings, backgrounds and lighting situations within the one location like a park, gardens or a quiet urban area. Together with outfit changes throughout the photo shoot.

The Photo Shoot

• It’s good to have a 10-minute chat before the session starts just to get to know each other better. This usually calms your nerves.
• Remember it’s a collaboration where Georgie and yourself work together to create the shots.
• The best shooting time is early evening when the natural light is soft and very flattering. Also, Georgie doesn’t use flash photography, as it looks too polished for dating profile photos.
• The shots will try to be candid and fly-on-the-wall, where you don’t have to look at the camera and smile constantly.
• You won’t be asked to pose awkwardly. Georgie will capture your natural mannerisms.
• Georgie will suggest quiet, uncrowded locations so you don’t feel like you’re being watched—helping you stay relaxed and comfortable throughout your dating photo shoot.
• Plenty of photos are taken during your dating app shoot, giving you lots of variety and options to choose from.

Afterwards

• Approximately 48 hours after the photo shoot, Georgie will send you an online gallery of lightly edited images (approx. 80-150), from which you can choose your favourite shots.
• When your images are edited, the aim is to keep them as natural and authentic looking as possible.
• After the balance is paid, your favourite photos will be sent asap via a link.
• Finally, you can use your new dating portraits on Tinder and the apps straight away.

Georgie’s Tip

There is no doubt that professional dating photos can give your dating profile an edge, where you look your very best and help you stand out on the dating apps—but don’t rely on them entirely.

Using only professional photos can come across as too perfect or unrealistic. There has be to a balance of pro and amateur shots to make your profile feel real, genuine, approachable and easy to connect with. That said, start with your best professional image—one that’s well-lit, natural, and shows a clear portrait of you with a genuine smile (that’s the shot everyone wants to see first). Then sprinkle in a full-body shot and ones where you look happy, relaxed—even a little vulnerable (you will create these shots with Georgie).

Finally, add amateur shots of yourself with a friend, or another with your dog or shots of you doing something you love. That way, you’re not just showing what you look like— you’re telling a story about who you are.
